The PSD file I chose for this project was a print file for a sandwich board sign. 20 inches x 30 inches at 300dpi. a BIG BOY.

I knew that the file was quite large and I remember struggling getting this thing printed due to the enormous file size.

There were some layer effects that were flattened, text that was rasterized, and layers that needed to be merged.

 

I enjoyed finding out about the layers off to shave off a little space with PSDs. Going to use that in the future!

Thanks for the tips Paul! This will come in handy for larger print files in the future that just need to be trimmed down for easier use and saving space on my hard drives.
