The black range of pencils are definitely a little more tricky to handle. This study is all about patience - slowing your work down, lightening your pressure, and taking extra time to get that solid, even tone. Try using extremely light pressure with tiny circular motions. That should help eradicate any lines, but it does take more time :)

Hey Dylan, I can't see all of your boxes too clear because of the shadow, but what I can see looks even, smooth and really well executed. Well done!! I can't wait to see the rest of your studies as and when you upload them :)))
