This is my first woodworking project, stool made of scrap wood. I like using the Japanese pull saw very much and find it theraputic but it was hard to get straight cuts with it. But if work on my technique may be I can get better straight cuts, also I should have used a speed square as a guide perhaps. I did not predrill screw holes initially that lead to screw chipping some wood off. 

 

This is still a functional stool and my wife uses it quite a lot like a small ladder. So overall I am quite happy.
