PRE-PLANNING: I did not plan for this photo outside of seeing my reflection in the window of my parked car as I approached it during golden hour. A lot of my selfies are done this way, unplanned and on the fly. It challenges me to keep an eye open for interesting creative photo opportunities as I explore the world everyday. I like to tell stories about my life and as I do different things daily, often unplanned, sitting down to think about it doesn't always work. This is not always the case, if I know I am going somewhere new, that I may not go to regularly, I will plan by learning about it online and even seeing whay other images of the area have been shot.

THE SHOOT: As I saw my own reflection, I also noticed that the slight curve to the window resulted in it acting like a mirror reflecting the pavement lines of thr car park, and it also served to distort the bags of mulch I had already loaded into the car. I also often shoot using a square format, which is how Instagram used to automatically present photos as. It also harkens back to my use of medium format film to shoot photos. I sometimes take a lot of photos to get something I like, but here I was happy with the first photo I took. 

THE EDIT: Later, I did minimal editing, adjusting brightness, and exposure / black point. Finally, I put a slight vignette around the photo.
