Seamless Loop: Moon Train-Station

Seamless Loop: Moon Train-Station - student project

Hello!

Thank for this amazing tutorial Don. Since you always teach us loops, I thought lets make this a Loop Video too haha :D

Unfortunately I didn't have any of the requested: Cinema4d, Redshift, Octane and an Nvidia Card.

I did this video all in Blender3D,  36h work and 36 rendering( I am not showing off, I am showing that I am slow and unskilled :D ) . For those who want to make a video like this and use Blender here are some things you might wanna think about before starting:

-From .c4d you can open these files somewhere online, or use a cracked c4d  to import .c4d and export in .fbx, because .c4d cant be imported in Blender (.obj dont import lots of stuff of the train., so better .fbx)  Also the train that you are going to import will have skin problems and you will need to adjust them with nodes.

-Consider using eevee engine (I used Cycles engine but the render was 36 hours). You will have to learn in eevee about reflection because Cycles does it for you since it has ray bouncing/tracing. With eevee you will have a lower render time, maybe 5-10 hours, or even less depending on your PC.

-You will need to do some UV unwrapping since some materials will look ugly.

-After video is completed and you will export the Image Sequence you have 3 choices:

1. Do everything in the composite and you wont do many changes in after effect, so you export everything in 1 image sequence

2. Make masks and export in multiple sequences and do all the work in After effects.

3. Or do some work in composite of Blender3d and then a little work in After effects, thus exporting 2-3 total of image sequence and masks. (I used this one)

4. Double Check Everything, I had a guy break-dance in my video and I put it in a bad stop because I had it "Off" in viewport but it was On for rendering. If I want to change it, I need to re-render. So keep this in mind.

5. I couldn't make the project less noise otherwise I would have to render for days.

Had lots of fun doing this and thank you Don for these amazing tutorials and ideas!
