Here are a couple of sketches I've made. My character combo is curious, sweet, creepy, chill, and bunny.

I liked the half/half see-through design the most. The bunny's inside is slowly turning into nothing but fluff. Those cotton candy-like stuffing will be transparent, which is quite fitting as it also represents the character's soulless state.

I then hired my dog to draw the design out. She got treats in return and we're both happy ;)

 

Satisfied with my dog's awesome job, I clicked a few buttons in Illustrator and it magically vectorized. After that, I separated the layers and created a cut line.
