I began this painting feeling as if I could not accomplish the beautiful, ethereal background nor the luminous seahorse... But the steps and guidance that you provided, Jane, were very clear and descriptive.  I really enjoyed painting the background! I wasn't brave enough to paint the seahorse free-hand, so thank you for providing the outline - that helped reduce the stress factor immensely. I'm a little disappointed with how much paint I used on the seahorse - definitely lost some of the luminosity - but all in all, it was a fun painting and I really learned a lot!
