SAMPLE PROJECT

SAMPLE PROJECT - student project

Hello, everyone! Thank you again for joining me in this class :)

I know it's a bit of a step-up from the last class, but I do encourage you to take your time with it and experiment as much as you can. Below is an example for your class project. I will be adding more to this project example as I continue my own watercolor succulent exploration, so stay tuned!

I think taking progress shots are helpful to track your painting progression and identify certain areas you might find challenging and make notes of them. Plus it's always fun to piece together your progress and watch how your painting comes to life!

PROJECT UPDATE:

Did another painting of another potted succulent I had, using the techniques demonstrated in the class. This time used granulating pigments to add a bit of visual texture to the leaves. Glazed the outer left leaves with a dulled mix of violet and green (Terre Verte) which I could've probably added another layer or two to deepen its value.
