Rotterdam, the Netherlands

Hello, my name is Julian I'm from the Netherlands and I just started photography a few weeks ago. With my saved up money I purchased myself a Canon 250D with a kit lens (18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 DC III). I started learning on Skillshare and immediately night photography caught my attention and I watched a couple of classes. Last week I was in Rotterdam so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to take some nice pictures of the city at night. It was a lot harder than I expected to make good pictures and I really struggled with trying to find interesting and original ideas for my pictures. I took around 250 pictures and only these 2 pictures where good enough in my eyes. But as I'm only a beginner would love to hear what other people think of my pictures. I tried my best to edit them as best as I could in Lightroom (after some classes on how to edit in Lightroom) and finally I'm satisfied with my result. So please let me know what you think of them and tell me what can be improved so I can work on those things. Thanks in advance!

I took this picture of the old harbor of Rotterdam out of my hotel room.
