I found a photo I liked. I then sketched using a blue pencil. I started inking using a big brush for the black background. Then I used a smaller watercolor brush to trace the lies I sketched. I decided to play with the ink by diluting it with water and brushing the different washes where the shadows were. Then I used a very small Micron ink liner to place lines on the borders between the different shadows.
