Really enjoyed finally trying papermaking--I especially liked pieces dried on windows to make them extra smooth. Including flower petals for bits of color was also a fun twist. The saying, painted in acrylic, came from talking with a friend about what the alternative was to working really hard--she was like--you could just /exist/--what if the core purpose of life was just to live, and anything else was gravy? And that felt really lovely, so I painted a piece of my paper about it. Other pieces were a little abstract--you'll see one with painted spots covering up texture made by drying it on rocks/pebbles in my garden, for example.
