This foxy tree stump was colored using a TRIADIC color scheme of brown, purple, and green. I began with flat colors to establish the scheme then used a few brushes in Procreate to blend colors and add texture.

And here's a look at my illustration midway through adding texture. Notice how the contrast isn't as strong as it is in the final version. I adjusted the colors' HUE, VALUE, and SATURATION to get it where I needed it to be!
