This was a fun course with Lisa Hetridge. Thoroughly enjoyed painting this colorful bird. I often play around in photoshop. For this card I added a cloud background from another course I did for the background to see what it would look like. Then I took the plunge and decided to go back to my original card and try painting in with watercolor. I think it worked quite well. I ended up trying another bird, this time sketching it myself. I also painted the flowers and leaves together and cut them out. i tried adding a texture on the head as well with a white signo pen which turned out nice.
