Post It note idea board. As I can’t stick the notes to the wall I decided to put them on an old crafting board. This being dark red in colour produced a good contrast for the post it notes.

 

The Post It app even detected my original drawing I did, this inspired me to do the story.

 

The story is about a young girl who is discovered to have a special talent for singing jazz.

 

The artwork is something I did at my Wednesday morning art club. Integrating the art in to my creative writing enables me to get more inspiration. The drawing was done by using quality colouring pencils.

As the story is based in London in the Sixties, I could add notes about what I learned on a guided tour about the jazz scene in London’s SOHO area in the 1950’s. This could be used as character backstories and their history.
