The one you've been watching all week
Looking for the softness, graininess 
Breathe in some love for someone- the mail-person for instance 
They deserve it, don't they?

also, it's time to eat that pear 
the one that you foraged for
digging in the large pear bin at the store last Tuesday
you've been watching it all week, waiting
testing for that perfect softness, perfect graininess 
one should wallow in the juice, dripping down my chin
meanwhile, my dog, patiently awaiting the treat of the core
slowly wags his tail
