Pige-ucation

Pige-ucation - image 1 - student project

Once again, Em's classes teach far beyond the artwork part...as you'll see in later photos ...proving that any age student can learn from Em's classes. Here is Hannah's sweet little pigeon piece. Her medium of choice was pencil and crayon.

I'm loving Hannah's Mom's super cool pigeon done in crayon and watercolor.

I had foot issues as a kid, so this pigeon is a nod to that.

I had no idea until storytime with Hannah about Mo Willems' pigeon book series! And as synchronicity had it....3Gen went to visit the National Children's Museum in DC for Mother's Day. WHAT A PLACE! Highly recommended for kidtertainment! So much to do and brilliantly put together....(tossing, throwing, rocking, climbing, reaching, choosing, and all other kinds of kid-action exhibits to explore... including a fun all-inclusive noise parade at closing time, so kids don't get upset that the museum is closing. )  Besides all the fun interactive exploratory exhibits....part of the exhibit included a gallery of Mo Willems pigeon and other Mo character-themed skills to try out.

The photos say more than I could...so I'll let them speak....
