The lady with the cane is recovering after a long illness. That‘s why her arms are so thin. She and all the other people are so full of (everyday) life - you did a wonderful job, Jo!!

Wow Jo, there is something to be said for each person. Shading, lighting, structure and form, clothing lines and wrinkles and the colors of clothing. I love it all :):):)

Joanne, these people walking are so well done! Many compliments!!!!

Joanne, I just see you getting better and better the more you do!! These are really amazing. Your forms are very well defined, the colors are rich and varied, and the shading really helps bring out the 3-dimensional qualities of the subjects. I particularly like the way you add creases to the clothing, and the way you created rain in the last painting is wonderful! Some very minor things I saw in the paintings you shared (because from what I have seen of your work already I know that with more practice these will work themselves out anyway): (1) The woman with the cane: her arm which is holding the cane is a bit too thin.(2) The men holding the umbrella: you drew shaft *over* the lower man's hand which would mean he isn't actually holding the umbrella You mentioned needing to work more your on skin tones. I personally think your skin tones are pretty on target. They tend to be a bit green or yellow, so if you want to push them to a more warm or pinky color you would need to add a bit of red. You can rewatch the section on mixing skin tones where I discuss the color wheel, but honestly I think you are doing amazing. It's just a matter of practice, practice, and more practice ... which you are already doing! Thank you again so much for taking this course (and the previous ones too). It gives me such a happy feeling inside to see all your wonderful paintings, and I hope to see more of your work. Hi! Thank you so much for this very appreciated feedback! Practice definitely helps ~ I find myself randomly doodling people in my sketchbooks now! I shared the silhouettes on Insta and you have followed me there @joannegale5 (married name!) I haven't posted these up yet. Thanks again for these classes, they really have helped me so much. I will definitely re watch the colour wheel section again. I did add red, ending up with a pool of too much red, started again and didn't add enough ~ need to seize the day and just go for it!
