<p>I would be pretty pleased with this first attempt, too. I think he's beautiful. If you do it again, just watch out for the pencil marks, as they're lovely to rub out at the end. And you know what, painting the same subject a couple of times is such a useful exercise, as you learn a lot by doing so, in my humble opinion 😁</p>

Thank you! You are right on the pencil marks. I did this quickly for a gift for a friend who loves peacocks - I will do another attempt and she can pick which one she likes. 

I bet your friend will love whichever one she chooses!
