Patterned Landscapes + Collage

I started out with the meadows and I really liked it as a brush practice. It helps you to wind down because you have to focus and concentrate so much ;-) A great way to get into flow and also to get to know your colors.

In the end I didn't like the bright green hill in the middle, so I decided to get creative and go one step further. Since I have a lot of textured tissue paper, which I have created for my own Skillshare class, lying around I decided to do a bit of collaging.

It worked out really nicely and added some missing contrast.

In the second one I was a bit precious about covering the flowers, but since you can take a photo for later inspiration, I just went for it and also put some collage papers on it.

And it really changed up the piece a lot. So maybe it is not perfect, but I can see a few things happening in it that I want to explore further! For example how the flowers show through the tissue paper that is more in the distance. And how there is a gradient in that piece of tissue paper.
