Outdoor happy corner

I created a watercolor pattern for the tablecloth using traditional, hand-painted techniques, while the pattern for the two long cushions was drawn and digitized in Illustrator. I love the contrast between the handmade, organic watercolor textures and the crisp digital design, and how they complement each other.

Surprisingly, I found a fabric in my mum's studio that inspired me to introduce touches of bright yellow throughout the design. To me, this unexpected element brought extra joy, warmth, and energy to the whole scene.

What makes this corner especially meaningful is that I feel proud and happy whenever I sit here—not only because it looks beautiful, but also because it reminds me of the enjoyable, creative hours I spent painting, sewing, and bringing all the elements together. The yellow lotus candle holder was a gift, and for a long time it never seemed to shine at its full potential. Now, I feel that it has finally found its place, completing the story of this space.
