Hi Elia, thank you for sharing your cute otter painting. I like the silhouette you created - great shape, and proportions. The head has lots of detail and I can see you have put time and effort into it - great job :) Here are just a few things that I've noticed that you might want to try, of course, it's entirely up to you. Either way, you can be proud of your painting with gouache. So here they are. The body seems to have been painted a bit more rushed e.g. less precise paint strokes which is perfectly fine if this is what you were going for - it definitely pulls the focus to the face where more detail is. I just felt the body could benefit from a bit more time and detail and would make this painting even more beautiful :) There are two more things I noticed, that would be a really quick enhancement if you'd like to try. Have another look at the position of the nostrils in your reference photo. They are a slightly different shape, a bit like a rounded triangle and more towards the outside of the nose. I feel this would give it a more "otterly" feeling ^^. The other thing is the shape of the cheeks/mouth area. The dark lines just underneath the eyes and next to the nose. I feel if they would be added it would give the painting just the little extra in shape and dimension. Thank you again for sharing your work :) Romica
