One Color, One Pattern

I really enjoyed this. With my increasingly busy schedule, this made art accessible to me again. It removed the idea in my head that I had to find at least an hour to make art, and it removed the anxiety of not knowing what to paint and wanting to do it just right.

As I made these little pieces, I learned that 1) I need to practice my hand-eye coordination, 2) making patterns allows my brain to solve problems I've been working through, 3) my hand needs practice being steady, 4) this is a huge stress relief and break in my day, and 5) [insert other cool thing here].

Because these are abstract, they are never "perfect," but instead of wanting to fix them I can see where a pattern may have worked out better if I did it a different way, or maybe I should have slowed down, or in another instance let go a bit more. There's definitely a lot to learn here!

Thanks so much for this class, Fab!

Also, that last one with the circle and violet color looks like a torso and shorts and now I can't unsee it. 😅
