I haven't been doing much on Skillshare lately, but I love getting on every day and getting inspired and motivated by everyone's projects. I've mostly been working solo in my sketchbooks at home doing a lot of anatomical studies, portraits, doodles, etc. I have a ton of classes saved though.

Will look forward to yours in the future.

Oh Carmen, I understand that it feels vulnerable to share this but I'm so happy and proud that you did! I actually love this so much. Intuitive art can feel a bit awkward at first because it's an entirely different process than step by step tutorials.  But I look at this and I see incredible energy flowing, a gorgeous color palette, beautiful delicate mark making and fabulous textures. It feels so dynamic and expressive in the way that Basquiat worked. I love that you left breathing room and didn't cover up all of your background. The pastels were also an excellent choice!   I can even see two faces, one profile on the bottom left and one in between the heads of the two figures on the left. There's no need to bring them out, they are very interesting as they are. :) I can honestly say that you've inspired me to also try the pastels on top of the backgrounds! I'm so excited!

There's a lot of movement and an interesting texture in it, looks a bit like an ancient cave-painting to me. You always find the fun classes, Carmen :-)

Great painting Carmen. Love the colours and the energy as well as the creatures.  Such a fun class. Have just finished my painting but I will need to do more of the paintings to get a  better result. But I enjoyed doing the class.

You are too kind. I don't think i will ever create naturally just take classes!  But I tried that all that matters.

I hesitate to post this but I did spend time trying. No faces found so I uncovered a few creatures. Was all watercolor and neo color and inktense but I overdid the background and was too dark. So before I dumped it I added Sennelier chalk pastels to brighten it a bit. I hope I can try again and find a face.  Jerney is so talented.
