Nutrition Orientation Component

Nutrition Orientation Component - student project

I created the Nutrition Orientation Component of the Food and Nutrition Program for Patients with respiratory desease, whitch is designed to ensure that the food assistance delivered through electronic cards effectively translates into improved dietary practices, nutritional status, and treatment adherence among patients. This component strengthens the cash‑based transfer mechanism by providing an integrated educational strategy that guides beneficiaries in purchasing, preparing, and consuming nutritious foods, fully aligned with the Ministry of Health’s dietary recommendations.

The intervention combines in‑person counselling, validated educational materials, tele‑nutrition support, and individualized follow‑up for high‑risk cases. It also incorporates capacity‑building for health personnel and territorial teams to ensure consistent messaging, continuous technical guidance, and institutional sustainability. Together, these actions enhance informed food choices, strengthen immunity, reduce risks associated with inadequate use of the transfer, and contribute to a more effective and timely recovery of patients.
