Wow, my brain hurts. I spent from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. trying to learn Notion and set everything up. I tried a bunch of the basic templates, created one, then found another one I liked better and ended up shifting everything over to that one. It’s definitely going to take a while before I feel confident using Notion, but I do like the challenge.

Right now, I don’t love how clean and structured everything is. As you can see, I like a little bit of chaos. I love Pinterest and Google Keep—I use Google Keep with Pinterest photos—and I like the uneven, mashed-together feel of it. Notion wants everything organized, but I think I’ve found a happy middle ground.

While I was looking around, I found a girl who sells her Notion setup, and I think I might end up buying it—or maybe her Google Sheet—and just linking it to my current Notion. The one I have right now feels a little flat compared to what you can fully build in Notion, so I’m hoping I can keep growing it, organizing it, and developing it.

Right now, most of what I have on there are financial goals and life goals. It lists the main goal and then links to a project plan where I can list subcategories. I do like that part because it challenges me to take actionable steps. But I still want a more developed system to track my finances and to build quarterly estimates that line up with my other goals.Notion - image 4 - student projectNotion - image 5 - student projectNotion - image 6 - student project its a couple days later and heres a update of a more developed ecosystem still very much a work in progress but im loving it.
