Nina's Project
Sharing my pages here as I finish them. For some, I'll have process videos available so come back if you're curious.
Here are my before and after shots of my first two pages - title pages.

I did make a video of this title page and you can watch it as a Bonus lesson in the classroom.
The next page that called me was the third page. Here's what emerged there:

So the way these pages go, is one has two separate pages to work with and then comes a full spread. And this keeps alternating. As I am working my way through this October and am sometimes following some prompts going around, I work on full spreads for two consecutive days. I am posting only finished pages here so no in-betweens as I don't want to have this way too long.
I would really like to inspire you to make this book and work with it. Prompts or no prompts.
Here are two separate ones. On the left I followed quite a few prompts and on the right, none :)

Full spread next, kinda did "raven" and "mangroves" first and then added spirit and colored in the top of the spread second.

As I skipped a page I needed to return to it to be able to post the full spread here. No coloring on the right page but that doesn't mean I wot be adding them in later.

Tried to do some more prompts from a few places on the left side but on the right, I just went with whatever came to mind :)

Found something when I rotated my book 180 degrees:

Exploring felt tip markers. Kids kind :)

Started with the eye first...

Testing a new pack of simple kid's wax crayons with watercolors on top. I really like the effect:

Loved the emerging of a dragon here:

I would really love to see what you create. Do share please.
Wishing you happy and playful art time.
