New Growth - Ficus Audrey and Stephania Erecta

New Growth - Ficus Audrey and Stephania Erecta - student project

I've had this Ficus Audrey for about 6 months and it started with 4 or so leaves! It did not like the transition into my home at first and it dropped all but 1 leaf! It was a huge bummer cause what you can't tell from these photos is that the leaves on this plant are flocked! The backsides are so velvety and soft and its such a cool plant. I think it's related to the Fiddle Leaf Fig so maybe that gives you an idea for its level of care :P

Either way, this is the past 3 days of growth on my brand new leaf!! I can't wait to see how big it will get! Plants are so cool.

This is a little caudex which looks like a potato. It's been sitting under a glass dome soaking up all the humidity in preparation to sprout and yesterday it finally did!! I've been caring for it for about a month now and I'm so pleased that it woke up so quickly! I can't wait to see it shoot out a vine and for the delicate circular leaves to begin forming. This plant has been on my wishlist for a long time!
