My workbook

1. My dream is to be a successful professional writer. I will be able to supplement my day job with my creative endeavors.

2. I will write 15 minutes a day. It is small, but with my current obligations, this is very achievable. My ultimate goal is to work up to 2 full hours of solid work.

3. I will put my phone away. I will set a focus timer on my computer. I know there will be days where I will feel drained, or my MS will be a barrier to my writing time. Both are valid and will be days where I will allow myself rest. I cannot push myself like I used to. The important part will be working again the next day.

4. My dream space is a cabin in the woods on a cozy, drizzly day. I have a pot of hot tea, a cozy shawl and blanket, and the fire roaring in the fireplace.

I don't have the cabin in woods, nor can I control the weather. But I do have access to everything else. I can play rain sounds as my audial atmosphere.

5.  Start my rain sounds, cozy up under a blanket, have a hot pot of tea, and a cozy fragrance in the wax warmer: I prefer paper and pen, but for the sake of my carpel tunnel, I will opt for my laptop.

6. I have MS. I will be guaranteed to have bad days. I will focus on rest those days and get back to work when my body is ready. The important part will be coming back to my work. It isn't failure unless I give up completely and stop writing.

7. Look into my little book of ideas and inspiration. I have a dedicated notebook with those words on the cover. I write down little bits of inspiration, dreams, opening lines, and titles. I can go to that if I need a little bit of something to work on. I also have a couple prompt notebooks that I can turn to if my little notebook doesn't yield any sparks.
