I followed this class and used the Underscores theme to make my own website. I wanted to be able to add additional pages where I could experiment and learn web design. For example, I made a website www.lucygow.com/snow_white/ where I tell the story of Snow White. I'm currently not linking to it from the main site, because some of the illustrations are a bit embarrassing, but I like how I have the freedom to do this, and will maybe add some different stories in the future.

This is the first time I've ever tried using Wordpress, so I'm really happy with it, even though it needs some more work perhaps. Thanks very much!
