This is great Michael, Overall it is a very nice track, and it will support a vocal track very well. Depending on how the vocals interact with the backing track, you may want to define a bit more clearly any instrumental melodic line. (What I mean is, it can be of benefit to repeat an instrumental line throughout the song to give more intention to the track) But then again, composition is very very subjective and it may be working great with the vocals as is. As a first attempt, it is very solid. Congratulations! Can't wait to hear it with the vocals

Thanks for the feedback! I totally agree. I'm trying to figure out what I want either the repeated melody or the vocal melody to be right now, so I can figure out how to make them work together (as well as with the song). I'm actually making a video series myself about learning music from scratch, so, unfortunately, I've been busy shooting the intro video for that (having to reenact the earlier parts of the process) rather than actually learning the music the last few days lol! Should be back on track and moving forward with everything soon! I'll post the finished song once I have it!

After completing the course, and watching a few things on music production, I challenged myself to write a song using only the most basic parts of everything I had learned. I'm still working on the vocals, but for my first song, I think the instrumentals turned out great!
