I've been loving painting with acrylic and was very eager to try this class.

I had a couple problems at first... my horizon line was too high on the left and my wave line was too straight. At the end I added a little more to the waves to break them up, and I tried mixing up more of the sky color (I didn't have any left from the beginning) and was a bit off, but I guess we can pretend those are clouds in the distance. :-)

The sky felt a little blank, so I did a couple things to help. First, I added a seagull. Never painted one of those before, but it felt like a good addition. I also dipped my finger in water and added a tiny amount of white paint to my finger, then used that to drag across the sky to add very subtle cloud cover. (I did a similar treatment for the water in the sand.)

I also added a little emerald green to the interior of the waves and like how that came out. The sand came out a little too gold here though.

This is my second time painting on canvas and I want more!
