I learned painting watercolors about 2 years ago, and this is the first time I seriously considerd to use acrylic gouache to paint. I don't have acrylics but figured that acrylic gouache will work, too. 

my first try is below. I stopped the tutorial video from time to time to follow the instructions.

For I didn't understand why and where I put these colors, I watched the video again without stopping, then painted out of memory. below is the result. 

I pretty like this one, but couldn't finish it with details. just suddenly got lost , didn't know there to put my next stroke.

so I watched tutorial again and finished third one finally. 

meanwhile, I did watched the tutorial about Notan, it helps me undertand the lights and shadows greatly.
