my favourite part about drawings like this is that you can see the mistakes I made during the process. Like little blockers of blue sky, or area areas of the trees, specifically in the foreground, that are way too dark!

I really enjoyed creating this drawing and and one thing I didn't really touch on in the class is how watercolour really puts me in a different headspace then ink fine liners. I find when I'm painting with watercolor. I'm less focussed on perfection or exact precision and instead I focus on how colours blend together, often unexpectedly. if you look at the rocks, for instance you can see how I use warm hues for the shadows: originally I thought I would be using cooler blues or primarily cool colours for the shadows, but I think it worked well to rely on the ink for the darkness and instead just make the colour of the shadows in the rocks near the river, more distinct and vibrant. I'm interested to hear if anyone else has the same experience with watercolor, especially comparing it to using other mediums. How does it impact you? How does it change how you approach a drawing or painting?
