I’m genuinely blown away by this class. This was only my second time using an airbrush, and although the learning curve felt steep at first, Steve’s calm guidance and “trust the process” approach made all the difference. I didn’t believe him at the beginning, but somewhere along the way the airbrush started to feel less intimidating and more intuitive.

I made things harder for myself by choosing a smaller 10×8 surface instead of the recommended size, so the facial features were a challenge but even that became part of the learning. I loved experimenting with mixed media, using inks, a scraping tool for hair highlights and colored pencils for the final details. Those touches helped me bring the portrait together.

My project is a portrait in ink acrylics on a geosso board. Overall, I’m so grateful this class was available. The process pics and tools I used are included for anyone curious about the journey.
