My Abstract Journal & Planner - image 1 - student project

First I got inspired with quotes, colors, and journal/planner examples.

Here are most of the tools I used for my journal/planner, plus a blank journal book that is not shown here.

I chose a neutral color palette of browns and greys, then added blue and yellow, for warm and cool tones.

Then I storyboarded some ideas with quick thumbnails, so I could plan out what kinds of pages I needed in my journal/planner.

Next I painted some abstracts on practice paper with my watercolor paints. I selected my favorites as inspiration for my final spreads.

I painted multiple spreads in my journal/planner. These two pages I will leave blank for some journaling.

I inked in my cover page, and the rest of my journal/planner formats. I plan to add more later on.

I also added a page for watercolor stickers.  I chose a theme that would remind me to slow down and enjoy my day! I will leave the page on the right blank for a brain dump or mind map.
