Finished this painting after I left it at the first stage two months ago. Used a picture of a friend of mushrooms in our forest. Big mistake to wait so long: the masking fluid was very difficult to remove and thus damaged the paper (Hahnemuhle Anniversary- would not reccommend for this project, Arches would have been better).  Had to apply watercolour ground to repair the damage. Gave me a possibility to give the mushrooms a bit of reliëf, hardly visible in the photo. Not entirely happy with the result but learned a lot, especially in building up with multiple layers, making very dark areas and light effects.
