It was useful!  My brush control is not very good so I'll be doing the drills a lot.  The bead one was harder than I expected!  I watched and did the exercise (not the project) for the analogous colors class. Next up is the linear landscapes.  I have a limited palette and don't have gold or indigo so will have to try to make my own.  That should be interesting. :)  I am looking forward to it!
