Monkey Mind Typeface

This course was exactly what I needed. I've loved typography for decades but never thought I could create my own typeface.

It all started when I was designing a logo for my newly founded business, Monkey Mind. I sketched a lowercase "m" that I liked, but when I tried pairing it with other fonts, nothing felt right. So, I decided to create just the letters needed to spell Monkey Mind, which led me to install Glyphs Mini. However, I felt lost even after watching random YouTube tutorials. After taking this course, I was inspired to complete not just the lowercase characters but also the capitals. I even created a version without the brackets for more general use.

I designed a special "m" for the logo, but the standard "m" remains the default character. Since Glyphs Mini lacks certain OpenType features, I had to map the special "m" (with the circle) to an unused character.
