Often I enjoy doing my own theme or focus on the specific subject each month. The cat is always a challenge but I needed to remember my creative companion, Mochi. 
Thank you Emily for all your tips and techniques to build up layers of cat fur and also the cat eyes, etc. I'm still having troubles with proportions when it comes to animal painting, especially that I tried free hand sketching for my practice instead of tracing this time. 
I had a great experience, cats are very close to my heart and this is a valuable part of my creative process.
