I love your little  rant Olga.... krzysztof  has a masking fluid class..very helpful really...not a fan of it myself, but needs must....you did a beautiful job on the  sunflowers:*)))

I don't have similar issues with powdered masking fluid (it is totally unpredictable by it's nature) and bottled one that requires use of brush (decent quality stiff oil paint brush can survive regular use for this purpose). It is quite frustrating that dispensing bottles that SHOULD make the application so much easier and more efficient are in my experience the absolute worst and most troubling. I got three so far, and three times same issue: consistency goes all over the place and makes things harder. Can't say that I'm a fan of it but it really stands out if you add the tiny highlights of clean paper white - can be achieved by white guache at the end as Will suggests, but then it doesn't have that excitement and tension of not seeing the final result really before removing the fluid (I love that feeling). Overall, thank you very much and sorry for another rant...

Don't be silly you made me smile ☺️ I will  agree it can be frustrating...but as I said  krzysztof class  I would recommend if you  had a free half an hour 😉 

More like ten hours... he has that angel figure tutorial that is tempting and scaring me since I got skillshare (and before I forgot about it for about six months) - these two things will come together. Thanks for the persistence with the recommendation - I will do that as soon as I will finish my current struggle.

I love the abstract look and the feeling of movement.

Btw. masking fluid is EVIL. Old bottle, new bottle, same thing, some bits of it super runny, then some cottage cheese consistency and bubbles, lots of bubbles, so it's really doing whatever it wants. I strongly disrecommend using the tube version. Way too much unpredictability there.

Amazing effort, Olga. It is fantastic seeing how you explored the sunflowers three different ways, each painting has its own lovely energy and character. The vibrant yellows against those rich backgrounds are so captivating, and your confidence really shows in the freehand version. I completely understand the frustration with masking fluid, it can be incredibly unpredictable, but you still achieved some beautiful results 👏
