Marbling with Oil Colours

Marbling with Oil Colours - student project

Okay, so I have to be honest here, I did this marbling years ago, but thought I'd share the results here.

It's all been done with oil colours following the same techniques presented in Anna's wonderful class.

I have done some marbling more recently, but used that paper to wrap Christmas presents.

I made a box out of box-board and PVA glue, then wrapped it in marbled paper using spray adhesive. The box was then sealed with a few coats of satin polyurethane.

Here is the inside. A different pattern was used for the inset that holds the lid in place.

On the left is a wallet made by laminating (using spray adhesive) the marbled paper to a thinner card. This is a wallet used to hold photos. In the centre is the above box. To the right is another photo wallet. (Note: The contact details on the card are no longer valid)

I marbled many sheets of this pattern for a set of book covers.
