This was a really amazing class, with tons of learnings about textures, grease pencil, surface adjustments, camera movements, composition, and creative exploration. I really enjoyed going step-by-step and absorbing the stylistic adjustments to get to that Manga-style expression. 

 

I chose to add a few of the arc-ways connected by stairs to create a cavern, which then turned into a bat cave. I drew a bat with the grease pencil and then duplicated that layer and rotated it slightly. The steps are copied from the left-side window lattice element. 

Making the video at the end of the classes was lots of fun and expanded my understanding of animation a lot. It was great to explore subtle camera movements and light changes.

 

 

Thanks so much for a great class. I'm looking forward to taking the next class, especially learning more about materials and textures.
