MY IDEA OF SUCCESS MEANT QUITTING FIRST. ..

THE PLOT OF THE STORY:

MY IDEA OF SUCCESS MEANT QUITTING FIRST. .. - image 1 - student project

HOOK

I have always been confused about the meaning of success. What does success mean to you? More money? More power? Or simply, never quitting?

SETUP

That was me at 19. Appearing for my Finance exams, getting up early in the mornings, going to college, and studying late nights to score. It was a career that looked perfect on paper. Everyone around me thought I had it together... but honestly, I didn't.

BUILD

In the last 3 years, I prepared for two papers but cleared only one. Slowly, the anxiety started creeping in. The sleepless nights got longer. The pressure got heavier. But, the worst part? I kept going anyway. Because somewhere in my head, quitting meant failing. And failing meant I wasn't enough.

CHANGE

Slowly, the exhaustion started speaking louder than the fear. I wasn't just tired of the exams, I was tired of pretending this was the life I wanted. Tired of proving something to everyone around me that I knew, deep down, wasn't true...

Until that one day....

When I finally listened to the voice I'd been ignoring for two years. The voice that kept saying. this is not what I want. This is not supposed to be my life. This isn't who I am. This needs to stop!!
and then I took that one hardest decision of my life - I QUIT!

REFLECTION

I quit the career I had been chasing for 3 years.
I quit the routine I kept hanging onto even when I didn't want to.
I quit the concept that hard success only comes through hard careers.
And that one decision changed everything. That's when I realised, success was never about never quitting.
Sometimes, the one step towards success is quitting something less important first, to start something truly great later.
Because when your heart is finally in it, that's when you actually succeed.
