Local Quarterly is a print and digital magazine that seeks out and chronicles the stories of overlooked American people and places.

We launched our website last fall, and have decided that we need to add more communication to our homepage, while keeping a simple yet bold design.

Our goal is to have readers ultimately subscribe to our print quarterly, so one option we're considering is making the header image a sliding rotation of 3 or 4 images that re-direct to a specific page on the site, along with a call to subscribe.

I've been working with my designer this week to re-work our website, and we've come up with this for our landing page. Currently Re-working the copy with the techniques and lessons I've been learning from class! Will upload the next iteration as soon as we have the new copy on the design:
