Lesson 2: Add depth to an antagonist through backstory
The antagonist is named Blackstone . He is ex-military Marines. He has a wife and two children. His wife thinks he is still on missions on different military bases, but the whole time he has been in another state. His wife of 20 years does not know that her husband has been a prolific serial killer that has not been identified yet on the news. She also has no idea he has another family. He is a serial killer a sociopath, with a whole other family - being blackmailed by another serial killer who finds out he has been cheating and lying to his wife. Her husband Blackstone comes home every few weeks and makes it seem like everything is okay. Blackstone did not become a serial killer out of nowhere, he was coerced by another Serial Killer who threatened to kill his whole family if he did not oblige by their rules. Blackstone has a choice to make: To keep his family alive by killing other people, or he loses his own family.
