Learning by trying and doing

Hi guys,

I added a grid to the frame. This helped me enormously to see the negative space. Clearer forms emerge. Through this experiment, I tried for the first time to implement the grid technique with real objects. And for me it worked wonderfully.

I have also noticed that it is better to analyze your exercise for mistakes, for example if you also take a photo of it. The perception is different again.  This made it much more obvious to me that the curve at the bottom of the chili mill was wrong.

To all beginners. And I absolutely belong to them! The more different classes I try to implement, the more I notice what I am improving and changing. This is about negative space and I suddenly realize I'm much better at seeing the shadows. I no longer had to think about the lines for the shadow having to follow the curve to make it more 3D. The implementation is something completely different again.

It motivates me a lot to be aware of such changes. You make progress and often don't even notice it. The process is so fluid.

And as I drew the lines, I realized that I was practicing straight lines and therefore should deliberately not use a ruler.

I hope my translator did a good job.

Warm greetings from Germany
