I tried watching a different fur tutorial a few months ago and it left me frustrated. It went from laying out the underpainting to the instructor just painting in fur without giving a logical reasoning to the process. And it was all on one layer..

Your video was much clearer. This is actually my second go with your method. I chose a bit too complicated of a fur pattern and it was taking a long time so I scaled back. After all, it's my first real try at fur so I can't expect to master it off the bat! I appreciate all the tips you gave and I can't wait ti continue practicing!
