Journaling Ideas and Inspiration

Here are some pages from my journals and some corresponding prompts that I've used to journal with. I use fountain pens for writing as it's such a fun way to add color to my pages!

Days of the week

I enjoyed putting this together because of the quarterly layout—you'll see that there are day stickers and I used the boxes freely to document my day and what I've been busy with, whether it's booking flights or reading a new book.

Month in Media

This page highlights media and current favorites for April 2025, which included cherry blossom trees, a cafe in my favorite neighborhood, a book I had just finished, and an album I was obsessed with!

Today's Highlight

Since I use a one day one page journal format, it can get repetitive. So on days where I have a key event to focus on, I use that as a jumping off point to highlight the day—for example, this page documents my housewarming party, complete with autumnal colored fountain pen inks!

Checking In: Home Edition

Continuing with the housewarming theme above, here's a page that I journaled for my new class, How to Journal with Fountain Pens. I drew inspiration from highlighting the key things that have been improving since I moved to my own place—the little things matter so much and it feels so good to write them down, whether it's setting up a new wardrobe or getting a new set of extension cords.
