INSPIRATION SKETCHES

Found inspiration on Pinterest and looked at other games on the app store to gain ideas. I added them to a board to look at the typography and colour which I could use as a guide in my design.

Refined my sketch and made it bigger using some 65gsm sketching paper. I inked the lines to make it more bold to trace into illustrator.

VECTOR PROCESS

After tracing in the type and building out the shapes this was the shot. You can see it looks very flat without lighting shading and texture.

Using contrasting to create highlights and shading make it stand out more. 

RESULT

Went for a brown palette that worked well with my composition. I wanted to add more detail to the type but wanted to make sure it was legible.
