Ohn Mar showed us her process of painting on toned paper and recognizing negative spaces between flowers and leaves.  I found this a really hard concept to grasp and I'm still struggling to see places that could be left to let leaves and minor flowers appear.  I can only see one layer at a time!  I went back to watercolor in all the sketches just to see if I could make anything a bit less childish but I had to complete outlines with my pen to make any of the bits and pieces take shape...  Such a learning process!
